*Est. net is an estimate made when the alert posted: recent eBay prices for the same item minus eBay fees, estimated shipping and returns, sales tax and the price you pay. It is not a verified sale or a member result, and it does not cover cancelled orders or prices that move. Prices were live when members were alerted and may be gone now.
Get Best Buy deals the moment they drop
Every row above hit members' phones a day before it reached this page. Public rows leave out the store link and the cancel-risk rating. Members get the link on every alert, and a cancel-risk rating on price errors and on prices our own check could not confirm. Opt into Best Buy and only the alerts you pick ping you.
Open-box, refurbished and clearance at Best Buy
Best Buy sells three kinds of discounted stock. Clearance is new, boxed product on its way out — usually last year's TV or laptop model once the new one lands. Open-box is a returned or display unit graded by condition, often one unit per store. Geek Squad refurbished items have been repaired and tested. The grade matters more than the percentage: an "excellent" open-box OLED at 40% off can be a better buy than a "fair" one at 55%.
TV markdowns cluster when new model years ship, and laptop clearance follows chip refreshes. When several rows below are the same TV line in different sizes, that is usually a model-year change-over, not a glitch.
Why Best Buy deals vanish fast
Open-box inventory is counted per store, so a single listing can sell within minutes of appearing online. Price drops on popular SKUs get picked up by every deal board at once. A one-day-old public list is useful for learning which lines drop and by how much — the live alert is what gets you the unit.
Checking a Best Buy deal before you buy
Confirm the SKU and model year, read the condition notes on open-box listings, and check the return window on the product page — it varies by product and membership level. If you plan to resell, search sold listings for the exact model; the est. net column is an estimate made when the alert posted, not a guaranteed sale price.
How we catch these
Best Buy is one of our most in-house stores: our monitor queries Best Buy's official Products API for markdowns, clearance and open-box offers on the SKUs we track, and compares each price with the reference price Best Buy publishes.
We also relay Best Buy posts from public boards (Slickdeals, r/buildapcsales) when the community spots something first, after the same price-math and anchor checks.
This week, 8 of the 21 rows shown came from our own monitors and 13 from relays of public deal boards and publishers. Every alert is timestamped when it reaches the private Discord; this page shows it 24 hours later, and nothing here links to the retailer.
Frequently asked questions
Is Best Buy open-box worth it?
Often, if the grade is good and the discount is real. Open-box items are graded by condition and usually carry a normal return window. Read the condition notes, check what's missing from the box, and compare against the current new price.
What's the difference between open-box and Geek Squad refurbished?
Open-box is a returned or display unit sold as-is with a condition grade. Geek Squad refurbished units have been repaired and tested before resale. Both can be good value; refurbished items are typically older stock.
Does Best Buy honor pricing errors?
Best Buy can cancel orders placed at a clearly wrong price, and does. Treat an apparent error as a maybe until it ships. Public rows leave out the store link and the cancel-risk rating. Members get the link on every alert, and a cancel-risk rating on price errors and on prices our own check could not confirm.
How current is this Best Buy list?
Every row is a member alert from the last seven days, republished 24 hours late. The page is rebuilt from the delayed archive, so a row's price may already be gone by the time you read it.
