Basic economy vs. regular economy
Many fares below show two prices. Basic economy is the cheapest ticket and usually excludes seat selection, changes and sometimes a full-size carry-on; regular economy costs more and restores some of that flexibility. Compare the two with your bags and dates in mind — the basic fare is only the deal if its rules fit your trip.
Mistake fares and how to book one
A mistake fare is a price an airline didn't intend, such as a currency or fuel-surcharge error. US airlines aren't required to honor them, so wait until the ticket is issued — and ideally a few days — before booking non-refundable hotels. For ordinary sale fares, search the route on the airline's site or a fare search engine with flexible dates; sale fares usually cover specific travel windows.
US Department of Transportation rules let you cancel most tickets booked directly with an airline for a full refund within 24 hours, as long as you book at least seven days before departure (some airlines offer a hold instead). That window is the safety net for grabbing a fare quickly.

Do the prices include taxes and bags?
The fares include taxes where the title says so. Checked bags, seat selection and changes are usually extra, especially on basic economy.
Will an airline honor a mistake fare?
Not always — US airlines aren't obligated to. Book with the 24-hour cancellation window in mind and wait for the ticket to be issued before making other non-refundable plans.
